Coach Dixon is in his 30th year as head cross country coach at West Plains High School. The success of Dixon's teams is unprecedented by anyone in the state. His boys teams have won 12 state championships, and girls teams under his guidance have captured 11 state titles, including this year .

Coach Hatley is a former Zizzer runner from the great teams of the mid-80's. He also had a lot of success as the Head Cross Country & Track Coach at Willow Springs, winning several state championships during his tenure there. He now coaches with Coach Dixon at WPHS and organizes the road work of the Zizzer Distance program. |

(12), Darcie (11). Coaching: Liberty High, MO. Bluejays. High School Cross Country, boys and girls, 26 years. High School Track & Field, boys, five years. 8th Grade Track & Field, boys, 21 years. Coach Nixon was inducted into the Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2007. His Boys Teams have won 2 state Championships and his Girls Team was the 2006 Missouri Class 4 State Champions. |

Coached at Viburnum C-4 Schools from 1985-1989 and helped guide the Boys Cross Country team to 1986 Class 1-2A State title. Worked at Phidippides Running Store in Kansas City, Kansas as a running shoe specialist in 1990. Cross Country and Track coach at Potosi R-3 Schools since 1990, the Girls Cross Country team was 2nd in Class 3A in 1994, while the boys squad were State Champions in 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007, which included the individual champion in 1999 and 2003. Potosi Boys Track teams were 2nd in the Class 3A State Track meet in 2000 and 2003. State Champions in Class 3A Boys Cross Country in 2005 and 2006. 3A State campions in Track 2006 and eighth in Nike Nationals 2006. |

The 39 year old native of New Haven, MO is a 1984 graduate of New Haven High School... while in high school she lettered in cross country, softball, volleyball and track...she was a state champion her senior year in track and was named her schools scholar athlete...Coach Hill built an impressive record as a runner while in college... while competing for Missouri Baptist College of St. Louis, MO; she was a four year letter winner in both cross country and track ...she also participated for one year in college softball...she was a 1988 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Champion in the Marathon ...she has run numerous road races, adventure runs and marathons around the country, including the prestigious Boston Marathon, Los Angeles Marathon and the Wild Onion Adventure Run ...Coach Hill has a Bachelor in Science Degree from Missouri Baptist College ...she also has completed a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine... Coach Hill moved to School of the Osage in 2006 and guided her boys team to second in Class 2 State Championship. Coach Hill will be co-director of Session 3. |

Alicia has attended Wilderness Running Camp as an athlete, counselor and a coach for a total of 11 years. She ran at West Plains from 1991-1995 and was a NAIA athlete at Oklahoma Christian from 1995-1999 earning All-American honors in the marathon during her senior season. Alicia coached track and cross country at Moberly (Class3) before returning to West Plains. She is currently an assistant cross-country coach for the Zizzers where she works with both the middle school and high school teams. She teaches middle school physical education and health and coaches middle school basketball. Alicia is married to Wes, also a former Zizzer runner. They have one daughter, Jayna. |
Jamie Burnham

Jamie Burnham is in his seventh year as a full-time assistant with the Lions cross country and track & field teams. He works with the distance runners.
An accomplished runner himself, Burnham was a five-time All-American for Missouri Baptist College, and in 1987 was national runner-up in the 10,000-meter run. He holds Missouri Baptist school records in the 5,000-meter run (14 minutes, 3.00 seconds), 10,000 (29:30.00), and marathon (two hours, 26.00 minutes).
Burnham also has had his share of success since completing his collegiate eligibility. A native of Carl Junction, Mo., he competed in the Dallas White Rock Marathon and New York City Ekiden Marathon Relay in 1987, finishing third and 25th, respectively, and in 1988 was 50th in the Los Angeles Marathon before competing in the United States Olympic Trials Marathon.
In addition to his duties with the cross country and track & field teams, Burnham is the Southern Athletics equipment manager, and works for the Missouri Southern Physical Plant as a driver. |
